Product Formation

The Tyco DPV-1 dry alarm valve is a differential pressure valve specially designed for dry automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing systems. It prevents pipeline freezing by automatically controlling water flow and is suitable for low-temperature environments (such as below -40 ℃). It is widely used in warehouses, parking lots, attics and other places. Its core function is to quickly fill water after the nozzle operates and simultaneously trigger a fire alarm, ensuring efficient response and reliable fire extinguishing.

Working principle

Quasi-working state: Compressed air (or nitrogen) is filled into the system pipeline. The valve disc remains closed under the action of pressure difference, and the alarm pipeline is connected to the atmosphere.

Fire trigger: The sprinkler head breaks due to heat, causing the pressure on the system side to drop. When the pressure difference exceeds the set value (e.g., 5.5:1), the valve disc opens, allowing water to enter the pipeline and triggering the alarm device.

Rapid water filling: Water flows into the system through the valve disc, simultaneously driving the hydraulic alarm bell or pressure switch to sound the alarm.

Reset operation: After the fire is extinguished, manually reset the valve disc through the external plunger to re-establish the air pressure balance, and the system returns to standby mode.
