Medium Sprinkler Nozzle Product Description

Efficient heat absorption and cooling are the most crucial functions. Water mist has a huge total surface area. When these tiny water droplets are sprayed onto the fire scene, they will instantly absorb a large amount of heat and quickly evaporate into water vapor. This "phase change" process from liquid water to gaseous water vapor absorbs an astonishing amount of heat (latent heat of vaporization), thereby rapidly and effectively reducing the temperature of the flame and the surface of the burning object. When the temperature is cooled below the ignition point, the combustion will cease.

Suffocation and hypoxia: The volume of water vapor produced by the evaporation of water mist will expand rapidly (up to 1700 times), and this water vapor will quickly dilute the oxygen concentration in the air around the fire source, creating a local hypoxic environment. When the oxygen concentration is insufficient, combustion cannot continue and is thus "suffocated".

Blocking radiant heat: The water mist curtain formed by the nozzle can effectively block and attenuate the heat radiation of the flame to the surrounding combustibility. This not only can prevent the fire from spreading further, but also can open up a relatively safe passage for firefighters to enter the fire scene for rescue.
