Duraline Rubber Fire Hose Description

The inner lining layer is made of smooth EPDM rubber, mainly responsible for waterproof sealing and forming a low-resistance flow channel to reduce head loss and ensure efficient water flow transmission.
The reinforcing layer is woven from high-strength polyester fibers and wrapped around the outside of the inner lining, providing a skeletal support for the water hose and bearing the main internal water pressure and mechanical stress.
Outer protection: Some water hoses also have additional coatings or treatments on the outer layer to provide further wear resistance and protection against environmental erosion.

EPDM rubber, with its unique chemical structure, offers excellent resistance to UV rays, ozone, and extreme temperatures, making it ideal for firefighting equipment. It is mainly used as the inner lining of water hoses, ensuring waterproof sealing and smooth water flow. Compared to PVC, EPDM has a longer lifespan of 10 to 20 years and greater reliability. Resilient EPDM rubber fire hoses are known for their weather resistance, flexibility, and performance, making them essential for professional fire protection in challenging environments, thus ensuring safety for lives and property.

• Excellent durability and long service life: EPDM rubber itself has a very long service life. Under normal use and maintenance, its products can last for 10 to 20 years. The design of EPDM fire hoses can withstand high pressure and frequent use. Their wear resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance ensure reliability in critical fire-fighting moments.

• Outstanding environmental resistance: EPDM rubber has excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays, ozone and extreme weather, ensuring that the performance of the water hose does not deteriorate after long-term outdoor storage or use. Its operating temperature range is very wide, usually as low as -40°C and as high as +120°C (up to 150°C under certain specific conditions).

• Good flexibility and ease of operation: The EPDM inner lining keeps the hose highly flexible, facilitating firefighters to quickly unfold and drag it in complex fire scenes and easily bypass obstacles. In addition, this type of hose is usually quite lightweight, which helps to reduce the physical burden on firefighters.

• Excellent water resistance and chemical resistance: EPDM rubber itself has excellent water resistance. Meanwhile, it has good resistance to a variety of chemical substances, including dilute acids, bases, and some polar fluids (such as diols and alcohols). However, it should be noted that EPDM has poor oil resistance and resistance to hydrocarbon solvents, and is not suitable for transporting these media.
