The core of the sprinkler lies in the temperature-sensitive glass bulb filled with special heat-expandable liquid. Under normal conditions, the glass bulb keeps the sprinkler valve closed to prevent water leakage. When a fire breaks out, the ambient temperature rises rapidly to the standard starting value, generally 68℃ for common indoor models. The liquid inside the bulb expands rapidly, generating enough pressure to break the glass bulb. Then the sprinkler will automatically spray water in a specific range, quickly cooling down the fire source and extinguishing the fire at the first time.

Many people hold wrong views about fire sprinklers in daily life. A common misunderstanding is that smoke or water vapor, such as cooking steam or humidifier mist, can trigger sprinklers. In addition, many people think the whole system will spray water at the same time. Actually, each sprinkler works independently, so only the ones near the fire source will start, which will not cause unnecessary water damage to the building and property.

4. Correct Use and Safety Requirements

In daily life, it is strictly prohibited to paint, wrap or hang decorations on sprinklers. Painting will cover the temperature-sensitive glass bulb, affecting its ability to sense temperature changes; wrapping or hanging items will block the water spray path. These behaviors will lead to the sprinkler failing to start normally in case of fire, which will bring great potential safety hazards to people's life and property safety.

5. Daily Maintenance Suggestions

It is necessary to regularly check whether the sprinkler head is intact, free of damage, corrosion or dust blockage, especially in dusty or humid environments. Keep a certain safe distance around the sprinkler, generally not less than 1.2 meters, to avoid blocking the water spray range.
